Rick Durfee

Richard E. Durfee Jr. -“Rick” has practiced law since 1988. Today he is the senior attorney at Durfee Law Group, PLLC, which evolved through natural selection from various partnerships. Based out of Mesa, Arizona, Durfee Law Group represents high-net worth individuals, families, and businesses across the US and around the world. The firm’s services range from Wills, Trusts and probate for simple estates to complex multi-jurisdictional planning for the ultra-wealthy.

Rick’s main focus is on multi-generational dynasty planning, business and asset protection, strategic charitable planning, and associated tax planning.
He helps families turn inherited wealth into a long term blessing rather than a destructive curse. He has pioneered numerous innovations such as Legal Architectural Diagrams, portable and jurisdiction independent trusts, and litigation avoidance and resolution tools. He is a team player, and finds that clients are better served when all their advisors work together. Rick is a nationally known speaker, and appears regularly at events such as the Money Show, FreedomFest, the Financial Planning Association, and in-house advisor training for financial service firms.

He has served as a board member of many charities including Legacy Global Foundation and now Charity Foundation. Rick is a lifelong learner. He reads voraciously and enjoys the outdoors, playing the piano, composing music, meditation, and science. He is married to the love of his life and they are the happy parents of eight children.
